Turn Center is the only private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in the Texas Panhandle dedicated to providing occupational, physical, and speech therapies for children. Additional programs offered include augmentative and alternative communication, feeding therapy, aquatic therapy, counseling, and dyslexia services.

With 36 licensed therapists on staff, Turn Center serves children who are medically fragile or who have special needs including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other chromosomal and developmental disorders.

Our core purpose is to provide high-quality therapy to every child who comes through the door, regardless of ability to pay.

Turn Center has never turned away a child due to financial challenges, a legacy that has been in place since the inception of its parent organizations.

Meet Our Kids

Turn Center served approximately 1,500 children in the Texas panhandle during our fiscal year 2017-2018. Many first steps, first words, and other breakthroughs have occurred during therapy sessions at Turn Center. Click the images below to read a few of our children's stories.

Grow With Us Expansion Project

We are excited to announce that, as of May 2018, $1.5 million has been raised toward our $3 million "Grow With Us" expansion project. As of spring 2019, construction was fully funded.

“At Turn Center, our therapists work daily to help children with special needs reach their developmental milestones,” explains Turn Center Executive Director Bruce Moseley. “Last year alone, Turn Center provided services for 1,407 children with 204 unique diagnoses. We have experienced more than 50% growth in patient visits in the last five years and are excited to announce that we will expand our facility.”

The architectural plans, designed by Gregg Bliss, allow for a three phase expansion which will double the square footage of the existing building. On a typical afternoon at 4 PM, the Turn Center waiting room is full and all therapy spaces are in use. Turn Center Director of Therapy Regan Hall describes, “Our therapists have had to get pretty creative at times, and our staff offices are very overcrowded. We are excited to have the additional space to treat our young patients in an even more accommodating environment.”

The Grow With Us expansion project includes new construction of a gym and a functional living space for therapy, and a three-story building for offices and growth. Additionally, the project allows for renovation of Turn Center’s existing facility.
